Service Description

SPRING CLASS Give yourself the gift of a restorative Yin practice to set an intention of detoxification of body and mind through passive holds, supported by props, that help awaken your hips and low back. We will Includes poses that stretch the outer and inner seams of your legs along with some light twists and hamstring stretches to focus on your liver and gallbladder meridians that correlate with the element wood and the season of Spring. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice that focuses on holding each individual pose for long periods of time, (2-5mins) helping the body to soften and relax into each posture, improving flexibility, with an emphasis on the connective tissue(fascia), boosting circulation, and reducing tension. It also helps alleviate stress and restores energy levels by turning inward and finding stillness. As we learn to pay attention to how our bodies work, the connectivity of the emotional with the physical, and our connectivity with nature, we can find better balance in our bodies and lives. I will show several variations for each pose, helping to make these practices accessible for all bodies. And as always we will end class with a yoga nidra and long savasana. Pure bliss. Tea and Bliss balls after class are included Props like belts, blocks and blankets are available at the studio however bring your own bolster if you have one or let me know if you don’t so that I can reserve one as they are limited.
